4/4/19 OOTD

So it's finally spring, which I've been talking about way too much. But I'm excited! Every day brings us closer to warm days and a greener looking world. I've decided that I'll begin slowly taking my spring/summer clothes out of hiding, although I don't think I'll be wearing shorts anytime soon. One thing I really can't wait to wear is sandals, I have these gorgeous pink sandals by Nine West that I lived in last summer and am just itching to get out. I even already painted my toenails even though it's still too cold out to show them off (bright, shimmery pink, by the way).

I'm going to start posting these short OOTD posts a few times a week. It gives me a chance to share some thoughts and also post without needing to write drafts and outlines. Since my hours at work have been picking up a bit more lately I'm struggling to find time doing things I love, like this, while also maintaining a social life and obligatory No Screen Time.

Yesterday I worked 2pm-11pm, which was exhausting because we were doing inventory, which is where every single thing in the store has to be counted. A company sends in a team of people to scan every tag and we, the Gap employees, have to hand count everything behind them and make sure our numbers correspond with theirs. It's tedious and mentally draining. But also pretty good money, considering the typical shift is only three hours.

Anyways, today is rather cold. It's supposed to rain all day, but I managed to get a few minutes of sunshine. Cozy is the name of the game today so I'm wearing my favorite sweater, a long line cardigan from Banana Republic. Its the softest and warmest sweater I own and it really goes with everything. Matt and I went to the park and walked for a bit, the first time we've been able to do this year because of how much it snowed. As you can see snow still remains in some areas but is quickly melting. I made the genius choice of wearing ankle baring jeans (Levi's 721 Orange Tab Edition) with loafers. Luckily the pathways were mostly clear but my feet were frozen by the end. My summery top is from Gap, it feels hopeful for warmer weather to wear it. And my purse is Vera Bradley (It's leather and the bold print is on the inside). I'm finding that this outfit formula is really my daily uniform. Jeans, blouse, topper, and loafers or flats. I suppose that it's good to fall back on but I can't wait to break out of it more often once warmer weather rolls around and I can play with my clothes a bit more.

Have a great day! -Sam
